All of “Tim’s Tips” will be written by our own veteran writer Tim Rigby, M.A., NSCA-CPT, who’s been creating content for Inside Fitness for the last 8 years. These informative capsules will be useful for the full spectrum of abilities – from novice to elite athletes.

Who Is Tim?

Tim is one of Canada’s most-published fitness authors who got his start in this industry in 2006 writing for Musclemag International, Oxygen, Maximum Fitness and Reps! magazines. In addition to being certified as a prestigious NSCA personal trainer in 2014, he is also a 5-time Ontario champion in Masters Athletics (3 times heavy hammer, 2 times shot put).

Tim has written over 450 published fitness items both for print and online, including 170 detailed training programs. He also holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the prestigious Meeman School of Journalism at the University of Memphis.

In addition to competitive track and field, Tim also enjoys powerlifting, baseball, golf, tennis, squash, basketball, bicycling and cricket.
