The Most Versatile Fitness Equipment Ever - insidefitnessmag.com

If you had to choose just one item of equipment in the gym and apply it to as many exercises as you could, what would it be? Consider a piece of equipment that you can use for both upper body and lower body, and for both pushing and pulling movements. Before we tell you, we’d like to add that purchasing said equipment and using it in a whole spectrum of ways at home actually has the potential to save you an entire gym membership. And the winner is…

For men, this is a 60-pound EZ-Curl bar. For women, a 40-pound EZ-Curl bar. The exercises you can apply to this equipment is limited only by your imagination. Start out with the most obvious exercise selections and expand it far beyond there. Exercises include:

  • Standing Biceps Curl
  • Upright Row
  • Standing Overhead Triceps Extension
  • Military Press
  • Hanging Clean
  • Forearm Curl
  • Skull-Crusher
  • Shrug
  • Neider Press
  • One-Arm Floor Press

The list is almost endless. Another manner in which this equipment is helpful is when you’re rushed for time and can’t waste valuable minutes in a busy gym waiting for other equipment to become available. Give consideration to all your muscle groups and don’t give excessive emphasis to only those which seem most obvious – this can lead to imbalance and aesthetic irregularity.
