There's nothing that beats the summer heat like ice cream; try your hand at this simple and easy ice cream base, which once you master it, you can make it into any flavour you're craving!
Ingredients
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 400ml can sweetened condensed milk, chilled
1 tsp vanilla, optional
Directions
- Whip the cold cream on medium/high speed with the whisk attachment of a hand or stand mixer until soft peaks form.
- With the machine off, pour in the cold condense milk.
- Increase to high speed and whisk until thick, stiff peaks form.
- Mix in the vanilla by hand, if flavouring.
- Mix in chocolate, cookies, sprinkles, fruit or anything to your liking into the base to create unique flavours, or eat plain.
- Freeze your ice cream (flavoured or plain) for at least 6 hours in an airtight container before eating.
